Politics in Islam Series (18): The Trust of Wealth in Islam

In Islam, wealth is not an end in itself but a means to fulfill the greater purpose of life: worshipping Allah. Allah says in the Quran: "And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me." (Surah Adh-Dhariyat, 51:56) Wealth is a trust from Allah, given to aid in this divine mission. Its management, whether by individuals or leaders, carries profound responsibilities that reflect the principles of justice, honesty, and accountability.
